Julianne Higham

Director

Julianne has been working in the hair industry for over 30 years. After gaining her qualifications in the UK, she set off around the world to work in South Africa, Canada and France. She later returned to the beautiful East Coast of Yorkshire and opened her own salon.

Julianne loves working with colour, and she often creates customised blends for her clients to get it just right. Art is her passion and she knows it’s a real privilege to be creative in her job.

Julianne moved to New Zealand in 1998 and worked in top salons in Wellington City. In 2008, along with her architect husband Mark of McKenzie Higham Architects, they purchased a modest 1920s villa in the heart of Miramar and set out to make her dream salon a reality. Now the dream is established, and with the help of her team, Julianne wishes to welcome you to her little boutique sanctuary on Stone Street.

Julie Furness

Creative senior stylist

Julie trained in the UK over 30 years ago, and gained some advanced qualifications in her craft. She then travelled and worked in Bermuda before settling back in the UK and opening her own successful salon there.

Julie emigrated to New Zealand in 1996 and opened her own salon Ruby Tuesday in Wellington City with her business partner Andrew. After many happy years in the city, she is now a highly respected team member at Rox. The passion for her industry is reflected in the exceptionally high standard of polished work that she produces; she excels at creative hair-ups, colouring, and cut & blow waves.

Andrew Cridland

Executive Senior Stylist

Having been in the industry for over 35 years, Andrew is an exceptionally experienced and talented stylist. He has owned salons both here and in the UK, and has managed international salons for both Regis and Steiner. He has also run salons on board top cruise ships sailing around the world, often styling for the rich and famous.

Andrew emigrated to New Zealand in 1996 where he and Julie opened Ruby Tuesday in the city. His creativity is reflected in his exceptional colour work and his superb cutting skills. He is a highly valued member of our team at Rox.
